It is a notable ruling, but the situation is dire if we have to hold what remains of democratic norms together with duct tape and a few judges with integrity.
Thanks to a court ruling today, extending Temporary Protected Status, Haitians in Springfield, Ohio, and elsewhere are (for now) safe from the planned ethnics cleansing operation. The ruling is notable.
BREAKING: Judge Ana Reyes, in DC, issues a stay of DHS Sec. Noem’s decision to end Haiti’s temporary protected status (TPS) designation, a decision that was to go into effect on Tuesday and could have ended legal status for up to 350,000 people overnight. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

As for Dr. Oz, Armenian is not a dialect of Russian, you fuckwit. Have you no judgement or decency?

That's from an official channel from a government agency created in response to the September 11th attacks. The creation of the DHS was the largest reorganization in 50 years.

The bill that created it passed with huge bipartisan support, 90-9-1 in the Senate.

Now it's run by douchebags.
'Turn in your neighbors, and life will be better for you.'

Logic circa 1930s Germany, now DHS policy.

Both the murders of Alex Pretti and Renée Good should be investigated properly by the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice and the State of Minnesota, just like the George Floyd murder was.

We need to demand our representatives act and not let the DHS bury it.
This is a cover up of a murder, led by our own federal government.

This argument isn't the win they think it is. It demonstrates motive for the murder of Alex Pretti, especially if the same agents were involved in the earlier video.

Again, weaponizing the FBI to chase ghosts and cast doubt on the 2020 elections.

I’m ok. I’m a survivor so this small agitator isn’t going to intimidate me from doing my work.

I don’t let bullies win.

"ICE will leave Minnesota if you hand over your voter rolls" tells you everything you need to know.

This was never about immigration or fraud. It was always about rigging elections.

Bondi is just acting like a mob leader at this point. "Hey, Minnesota. Shame that there's violence in your streets. If only there were some way to stop this."
Bondi’s letter represents a major assault on Minnesota’s sovereignty, demanding that it forfeit its ability to make and enforce its own laws and maintain its voter rolls without oversight from the executive branch, which does not have authority over elections. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

There are many similar cases. US Citizens, arrested, detained abused, and then released without charges. The last part doesn't make the previous actions okay.

It's unlawful action systemically conducted by the federal government in violation of the 4th Amendment.

It's state terror.
A 23-year-old US citizen was detained by ICE for two days. During the arrest, she was called a racial slur and suffered a concussion.

These researchers rerouted the algorithm on Twitter to push some users toward “antidemocratic attitudes and partisan animosity”.

It only took 1 week to elicit changes that used to take 3 years.

There is a significant fraction of the voting population that does not have positive views of the Kremlin. Democratic strategists undervalue this fact.

I think it's because of McCarthyism. But today we can just say "Kremlin bad" without guilt, and it is a powerful tool.

They have a clever strategy to build their monopoly, which any functional government would have banned: if you want your indie book listed in Kindle Unlimited, you have to be exclusive. 🧵
