It feels like a relief that a lot of my politics have gotten less finicky and complicated in the last 10 years or so. Like, basic human dignity and freedom is a framework that covers a lot of handwringing! And "people should be kind". Maybe a result of evil being ever coarser

The US doesn't need Venezuelan oil fields btw. We produce the most in the world by a good margin, and have for years. I truly think the attack on Venezuela was about braindead immigrant scapegoating (immigrants=drugs=venezuela=bad) first and foremost. Trumps shadow viziers have no serious next step!
