Really dumb move—it only solidifies the inferior second-rate status of the new award. If you really want to co-opt an institution you need to keep as much outwardly the same as possible. These losers will forever be known as the Trump honorees that got those Trump medals for a few years in the 2020s

Absolutely. Doing this remotely with drones or bombs is no different than pulling up in a boat and shooting them in the water. If this isn’t an illegal order, hard to imagine what could be.
And unlike some of the finer questions of “was the president’s inherent Art 2 powers in play”, shouldn’t offing people who are hors de combat be clearly known to be an illegal order all the way down the line to the lowest Seaman?

Today, after months of requests, I toured the Broadview ICE Processing Facility. I want to share what I saw.
The facility has no food vendor, no medical care, and detainees have to use toilets in the middle of shared cells. These are in no way suitable conditions to be holding anyone — period.
