I don't remember suggesting older people aren't leftist, and I don't see how it's relevant to my point, so it sounds like you are taking it personal and that's okay. I'm sorry you feel that way but I stand by what I said. (sincere) Goodnight!

The ageism goes both ways. Despite being very middle aged at 37 the establishment doesn't respect my experience and often belittles me when I lead in my way. As a lifelong youth leadership champion I have a very distinct perspective on this and I plan to talk about it because it hurts our democracy.

I actually think it's really funny that there have never been millennials on the Portland City Council before and now we're 67% of the total Council 😂🤪 no wonder y'all are so obsessed with our "strange behaviors" when it's just common millennial shit 🥲 that gerontocracy brain is so USA coded 😮‍💨

You know, of course, if you DIDN’T go, they’d then dismiss anything leaned on the trip as not valid because you would just be repeating what others told you about their systems. 😒

You will never “do it right” because they hate the existence of working class people having power in this city.

Shaming our political leaders for trying to do their jobs better is why we're in such shambles.

If you don't want our leaders to learn from the best (and often that means learning from cities OUTSIDE the US), you might as well be waving a white flag.

So 100 private and public officials went to the twin cities on a STUDY TRIP with the Metro Chamber and there's no media outrage? No "junket" articles? Or what about the state legislators who went to Vietnam? No?

Hmmm 🤔

I think a big reason the right wingers can't stand the progressive councilors is because we learned how to troll on the same internet as them lmao

They're used to leaders who completely refuse to engage & frankly that's a disservice. I will tell you clearly where my values are & when I disagree! 🤷🏾‍♀️

Wow, I'm over here tryna fight fascism while MY body tryna fight ME!?

😩 That's just rude 😮‍💨

This is what we call selective outrage and is a prime example of how media coverage drives public narrative.

I’m. So. Tired.

I don’t just want you to pay attention to Chicago because I want you to understand our plight. I want you to see how hard people are fighting and know wtf you’re made of. We’re not just fighting for this place. This is for all of us.

On Sunday, U.S. District Court Judge Karin J. Immergut blocked President Trump's deployment of the Oregon National Guard. She is now at the center of one of the most consequential cases over executive authority in modern presidential history. Here's a deep dive into who she is.

Apropos of nothing, Sec. Kristi Noem is currently praying over Burgerville with Portland ICE officials.

There are now two Americas when it comes to housing:

In one, people work multiple jobs and still can't afford a home.

In the other, housing isn't a place to live but a portfolio to grow.

Everyone needs to be super aware of the media we're consuming. Lots of AI images and deep fakes, and now most of the mainstream media is right wing slanted 😮‍💨 I'm trying to take a step back from social media altogether but also making intentional effort to confirm videos or pictures are real. 🫤

The Oregon Republican Party tried to help Donald Trump make the case for military intervention in Portland with an image of a fiery protest — but since Portland is calm, they had to fabricate one by merging old photos of police in Ecuador and protesters in Brazil www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

Feds just deployed a bunch of pink gas at protesters in Portland. They also arrested a protester and carried them into the building.

Let’s remain strategic, peaceful, and principled when using our free speech rights. And let’s keep looking after each other — especially our immigrant neighbors — as this administration is still trying to escalate conflict.

We’re going to win.

Portlanders: this fight isn’t over yet. The Trump administration will continue to try to appeal these temporary restraining orders, and force the facts on the ground to change in their favor.

The Trump administration must comply with the law and this judge’s ruling. Our home is not a military target and our streets are not your training grounds.

Let National Guard members go back to their families and stop trying to make Portland your propaganda photo-op.

TLDR: Judge Immergut GRANTS a 2nd TRO blocking the Trump admin from sending ANY federalized troops from ANY state into Oregon/Portland. (Full hearing thread below)
joshuajfriedman.com
Judge: That's what I'll do. Prohibit federalization or deployment of any NG troops into Oregon. For all reasons in prior opinion. Deployment of federalized military is ultra vires and contrary to law, violating Title 10, section 12406. I also find it's likely that defendants violate 10th Amendment.

DOJ: CA NG is already federalized

Judge: You are an officer of the court. Do you think this is an appropriate way to deal with my order? Appropriate way of dealing with ruling you disagree with?

DOJ: Well, I'm not a policy maker

Judge: You're a lawyer
