After 18 years of pics, posts, jokes and the occasional argument, FaceBook blocked - and then deactivated -my account in the space of an hour. No further right of appeal.

Even if the people in those boats were planning to sell crack at schools, they would not be subject to capital punishment. Let alone summery execution.
Had they been captured and questioned they could have offered actual intelligence about stopping the flow of drugs.
