It really is amazing that they haven't figured out that if they go through the impeachment process now and convict quickly, he'll be in jail and without a means of communication. That gives them months to let the fervor die down while the rest of the administration panics (Noem, Vance, Patel, et al)

Go look at the video of how Roberts (who has sworn in POTUSs before) goofed up the wording, Obama corrected him because he was prepared. Later in the day it was decided to do it again to the letter.
