You need to drink more water than you think you do. A *lot* more.
If it's been >1hr since you needed the toilet, go drink 8-9oz of water.
First signs of a headache, start drinking 20-30oz.
Dehydration is no joke.

Seesawing between anger and grief at being fired for no reason, worry about money and delight at no longer having to be in that toxic environment every day. The feeling of rejection is real though. Oof.

My ADHD brain doesn't want a fucking professional career. It wants to write poems and make art and run errands for people who need it and volunteer at queer orgs and plant and maintain strawberries and bake for my friends. Unfortunately, the rest of me needs to pay rent and eat. So.
I have definitely seen a few health care professionals say things online along the lines of “if people need ADHD meds to have successful careers, maybe they just weren’t meant to have professional careers and should set their expectations lower”
I got into an argument yesterday with someone over opioids, and I stated that because American healthcare is so bad it forces people to extremes for objectively-safer methods.

It's actually shocking that I don't have a single music player on my desktop Mac that works properly. Spotify is now giving black screen of death (still plays music but it's like the worst lucky dip ever) and Apple Music keeps spamming me for my credentials. Is it really too much to ask?

Something I periodically need to remember: It is absolutely normal and fine to love where we emigrated to and still miss, painfully, where we were and the people we left behind. Sometimes I struggle to accept that both feelings are equally valid and expected.
