Should probably introduce myself. I'm an Northen Irish artist based in Sheffield. My art is usually focused on language; the act of translation from one form to another. I do this with visually interesting cyphers. I paint in oils. Listen to a range of sounds. Generally like people. Say hello.
@glytxh.bsky.social hope jinglefest season has been kind

Been ill, and had quite the dip in mood. Not like the bad old days, but enough to make everyday a struggle.
But just want to wish everyone an easy stressful lovely jinglefest.
Nothing is more constant than change.

More than one thing at a time can be true. The middle path is good enough and good enough is good enough.
Ive fallen into all or nothing territory again.
From today I will at the very least half arse my way through the basics until they are sticky enough to be habits.

I'm Rob; I like fantasy books, maths and physics, ancient stuff and mythology, linguistics and music, British wildlife, and a whole bunch of other stuff. And I might occasionally mention Doctor Who

Just had a reminder that my youngest is off school tomorrow. Meaning my plans are shifted.
At least the heating is now sorted.

Major reconfiguration happening at my face. I say major. I mean ive cut my hair, shaved and trimmed my face fur.

Today is difficult. This made me feel a bit better, but hasn't dealt with the issues.

Stuff below. Ill take 10 to write my woes out and then get on with the things.

How many dead bodies does it take to change a lightbulb?
It's definitely not 8. I mean my cellar is still dark.

Spent some time in my prep room for some fossil therapy.

This is an Isotelus roller I found at Flat Run quarry near Mt. Orab, Ohio. I exposed most of the body and the genal (cheek) spine.

I can feel my back loosen up and stress melt away.

Im really enjoying rereading the Dune series again. Im on chapter house Dune.
The hunters and sandworms of Dune were finished by Herbert's son.

Its a strange feeling to enjoy the books but to want the characters you fell in love with back in the action.

I miss Paul and Leto, Jessica, alia, baron
