NYT confirming MS NOW reporting:

Prosecutors began investigating Renee Good's killing, then Washington told them to stop.

Federal prosecutors had a warrant to collect evidence from Good's vehicle, but Trump leaders said to drop it. About a dozen prosecutors have since departed.

Just imagining a tear forming when my alma mater, the Downy Unstoppables, mount a heroic comeback over the undefeated Roll Tide Stain Sticks™️
I don't think this rule change is that big a deal and it will not lessen my enjoyment of college football in the slightest

This line is going to stick with me for a very long time.

“One of them is a 4-year-old with Stage 4 cancer who was deported without medication or the ability to contact their doctors…”
Three U.S. citizens, ages 2, 4 and 7, swiftly deported from Louisiana
The cases have renewed concerns that the Trump administration’s expedited deportations are violating the rights of both citizens and noncitizens.

Having watched with growing alarm the developments of the last 24 and 36 hours in Washington, I thought I’d take a stab at how the US media would cover this story if it was happening in a foreign country. Here’s that story that should be written this weekend: www.doomsdayscenario.co/p/musk-s-jun...

Yes, this administration is dangerous and cruel, but they are also shockingly dim and incompetent.

Opportunities are everywhere.

Make everything as hard as possible. Resist every demand. Refuse entry without a warrant. Don’t take the buyout. Their problem solving skills are 📉

In 2020, I asked why so many Republicans had abandoned the values they had previously held. Still relevant.

Why have Republican leaders abandoned their principles in support of an immoral and dangerous president?

Newsletter: Blame the tech industry for the rise of authoritarianism. Blame a news media handicapped by a deference to power and a fear of bias. Blame the fact that our digital lives are unchecked ecological disasters.
Something must change.
