Thinking about how Kyle MacLachlan said that by the end of Twin Peaks: The Return everything would make sense and be wrapped up with a neat little bow, but when it actually aired he was like "yeah I have no idea what the fuck that was" and we'll NEVER know if he was in on it or if the script flipped
