Nadim Zahawi arrived in the UK from Iraq as a child refugee. His family claimed asylum once they were here. Today he has joined Reform who will stop all in country asylum applications. Under his new party, his own family fleeing persecution would be immediately deported.

One reason I have zero tolerance for transphobia, why I've come to find it completely disqualifying, is that it is in the nasty, tedious forefront of all right-wing rhetoric. Anyone who still thinks this prejudice is compatible with being on the left or being a liberal is not someone I have time for
Shad Tech Sec, Julia Lopez MP, despite (apparently) agreeing with gov't online portection aim, started a BIZARRE apologia/whatabout over X that equated Grok to "crude drawings", drew in Iran, rape gangs, immigration, trans rights, and even blamed children for "sharing their images too freely". 👀 ~AA

There's something I can't quite put my finger on that seems to be the common denominator between all of these streets.

Oh, I know what it is. It's the complete lack of cars.

The narrative about London crime is truly so BORING to Londoners.

Those of us who walk & travel around our city safely every day, every night.

The likeliest daily risk to Londoners is of being ripped off by our landlord or somewhere charging us £4.50 for a coffee. #r4today

Read more below on why I think it’s time to leave the cesspit formerly known as Twitter.

Grok is just one of many reasons why Westminster should finally get off the website.

"What will I do when they start murdering civilians & blatantly lying about it?"
I think a lot of people will, somewhere deep inside, be surprised to discover their actual answer to this question. Mostly 'free speech' campaigners, terminally online 'classical liberals' & self-styled 'libertarians'.

The casual acceptance of risk from driving cars is utterly bemusing.

If this many people were being killed on trains the rail system would be shut down until the risks could be eliminated.

Why is it seen as normal that so many people are killed and injured while people drive vehicles?
In 2024, more than 1,600 people died on UK roads. Yet a major new road safety strategy has passed largely unnoticed. This reflects media acceptance of road danger and a societal complacency—an “it won’t happen to me” mindset. Sadly, it can, and by then it is too late. How do we change this?

Running a country well is an impossibly difficult job. You need intelligence, economic literacy, the ability to inspire and the humility to listen. Nobody truly gets it right, and most are considered failures.

Who thinks the answer to this conundrum is to elect the absolute worst of humanity?

It appears ICE murdered someone in cold blood today and their plan is — per usual — to create a fog of lies so the killer does not face justice. We simply can't let that happen. The shooter has to be arrested and so does Bovino. They can't just kill people on the street.

The Government coming off X is the bare minimum and realistically at this point I think we should seriously be looking at taking enforcement action against the company, in line with the Online Safety Act and VAWG Strategy. I will be pressing the Government on this when Parliament returns next week.
