I've been playing the shit out of Risk of Rain 2 again cause of the new DLC. All my hours grinding skins and re-learning the game have already sent it past 200+ hours and into 4th place for my most played steam games. God, this game rules

I could never fault an indie dev for just wanting to withdraw entirely from public from what are deeply wild, unfair or aggressive demands on their passion projects from 'gamers'.

There needs to be a word—if it doesn't already exist—to describe when during a genuine mental health crisis, I often have this tendency to refuse help and solutions I know will work because the hurt feels somehow validating in a weird way. Some kind of sick, unhealthy catharsis? I dunno.
