It just occurred to me that the singer's request for a '54 convertible in "Santa Baby" was probably intended to show her desire for a brand new car, and not, as I've always interpreted it, to show that she's a collector of cool, old vintage vehicles.

Surprise science lesson! Apparently, the “emergency” water you put in storage after Hurricane Sandy can evaporate even if the containers are never opened, leaving you with nothing but empty plastic jugs and a gratefulness that you haven’t lost your water service again since then.

Yesterday, I filed two federal lawsuits against a man in New Jersey. He writes patently false things about me and other librarians. These falsehoods are very dangerous. They make me feel unsafe. They make a lot of librarians feel unsafe.
