Kids in lower income households are roughly twice as likely to have their own smartphones as those in high income homes. Similar dynamic when it comes to YouTube viewing.

Parents with lower incomes are most likely to say their child has their own smartphone, at 31%. Smaller shares of those with middle (20%) and upper (16%) incomes say the same.

Nightmare fuel -- he already made it to the top, but fell after misjudging the length of a rope he was using to grab his bags afterward.

The climber, Balin Miller, had scaled the rock alone on a rope for days, then fell while rappelling down to retrieve haul bags that had gotten stuck as he tried to pull them up, his mother, Jeanine Moorman, said in an interview.

Mr. Miller did not appear to realize that the rope was not long enough to reach the bags and slid off the end of it, Tom Evans, a photographer who was at Yosemite at the time, wrote on social media.
