Great explainer in Vox today showing why it’s critical for the right to dismantle any and all regulation of medicine to advance their ultimate agenda, and why this SCOTUS case jeopardizes both public health and LGBTQ protections as a whole.

This Supreme Court is often sloppy when it hands down decisions that pit the religious right against LGBTQ Americans. So there is a serious risk the justices will hand down a decision that sweeps far beyond conversion therapy. If they interpret the First Amendment to bar any specific restrictions on what professionals can tell their clients, then states could lose the power to prevent doctors from giving dangerous advice to their patients.

Oh, I watched the first episode of the wildly popular TV adaptation of the book series I am obsessed with, and... I have no desire to continue watching.

I know people love it but

1) the writing is kind of bad

2) the MC's costume is kind of ugly

3) cringey the way bad SF TV can be
