I write code in Durham, NC. It is nice. You should come to visit. Opinions here are my own. Likes might just be bookmarks.
I'm sorry, Chrome, did you just auto select your stupid AI button when I tab completed a URL?

This feels like less a story about the power of AI and more a story about how it’s easy to change someone’s mind if you’re willing to lie with sociopathic confidence.
New research suggests AI chatbots can shift people’s political views more effectively than campaign ads on TV.

However, researchers are concerned AI companies could “set the models up to push for one side or another.”
Voters’ minds are hard to change. AI chatbots are surprisingly good at it.

Not to carry any water for Netflix lighting, but it is weird how ten to fifteen years ago, half of movies were just like “throw a sickly green pallor on that bad boy!”

Bit of an unforced error on Durham County’s part to be like, “Show up for jury duty *by* 8:30,” and then be like “Jk/lol, if you get here early, we’re gonna make you stand in the rain.”

The cultural zeitgeists on this never really aligned, but I would play the shit out of a walking simulator where you just get to find out what the deal was with the *rest* of the Crypt Keeper's mansion. www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xt3...

On top of just the straightforward ghoulishness of it all, 250 arrests doesn’t seem like all that much for the amount of effort they put in.
The U.S. Border Patrol made over 250 arrests and clashed with protesters in Charlotte, North Carolina, during their weeklong operation that began on Nov. 15.

Federal officials have offered few details about those arrested, or when and where agents will show up next. https://wapo.st/47YGYn3

So, Google's just deliberately kneecapped their spam filters to try and get you to upgrade to their AI premium service, right?

I will not abide this pecan pie and collard greens slander, but if you try to feed me a whole beet on Thanksgiving, I cannot be held responsible for what I might do.
What's gonna be on your thanksgiving plate?

The fact that Athena doesn't appear to support executing more than one query in a run is just bizarre. Let me drop and create a table without clicking "Run" twice, guy.

Halloween is a ritualized performance of abundance, redistribution, and communal identity formation practiced by neighborly love. It’s also about skeletons.

If Senate Republicans grow concerned enough, they will begin to vibrate on a resonant frequency, becoming one transcendent being of pure Concern, able to write an infinite number of strongly worded letters simultaneously.

I feel like for as critical a piece of infrastructure as it is, AWS's uptime is actually quite bad. Like, great for a mid-tier hosting service. Terrible for "half the world runs on this."

It's kinda cool that Gary Larson is doing new cartoons because he picked up a digital tablet, taught himself how to use it, and it made him love drawing again.

Half the problem with this administration is you get these jumped up know-nothing fiends with pie in the sky notions of how to torment the American people and they haven't even thought through where they're going to get all the maggots from.
