Skipping church tonight.

I’m just not in a very “inherent worth and dignity of every person” place right now when a group of people rape children and another group of people protect the child rapists while calling librarians and educators “pedophiles” and “groomers.”

The movie they make about Tulsi Gabbard's infiltration of US intelligence is going to simultaneously be a haunting look at the most damaging intelligence failure in US history and a hilarious romp about the stupidest fucking people alive

Disney and the Muppets make a great partnership, but that's all it should be. I wish the Muppets were still owned and controlled by Jim Henson Studios with Disney as a distribution partner.

The thing I love about Fraction and Mora’s current BATMAN run, besides the stand-alone nature of each issue, is it shows how Batman can be fun again. So many Batman stories are all about being as grim and grisly as possible. These stories are still thrilling, but brighter. #comicsky

I will defend The Muppets mockumentary show from 2016 till I’m in the ground.

It was funny. It made me laugh many times. It deserved more seasons and not the hate.

I hopped on to Facebook to do my weekly check, and holy shit - nothing but AI generated caricatures with folks saying “jumping on the bandwagon.”

Shameful.

one thing that would be cool, when prominent creators turn out to be terrible people, would be if we didn't have to go through this performative dance of insisting that their work was never good in the first place.

“…and absolute power corrupts absolutely.”
If you have a billion dollars or more, you are evil. You don't start out as evil, so it's not like only evil people ever get a billion dollars; it's just that being a billionaire forced you to make a choice, be evil or change how you do things and stop being a billionaire. Billionaires choose evil.
You can look at the Epstein files and conclude that only bad people have billions of dollars, but I think it’s also possible that having billions of dollars cauterizes your humanity

Right wing nuts are still claiming librarians are a threat to children, while mountains of evidence is mounting that children simply are not safe with conservatives. 📚
