okay I finished heated rivalry in one sitting & the series keeps a pretty tight frame on the 2-then-4-ish leads but holy shit the character development is sophisticated & believable & well-paced. a true character study; everyone's actions & reactions make sense. again, refreshing.

don’t know how people deal with the scents that come with having an animal living inside their home. do cat owners know their apartments smell of urine & litter? I could never be okay with that.

my most unhygienic habit as a person is free bleeding every month at the end of menstruation & being consistently shocked at the consequences. like the sight & scent & management of blood clots the first 4 days is so horrific that I cannot be bothered to deal with the regular blood that comes after.
