“The city has done a great job maximizing the space by building the bike lanes. In Westmount where I live, we also have numerous bike lanes and once they were built, most of the residents got used to them and the bike traffic increased considerably.” 👏👏 YES!

Good plan. I’m glad it’s working for you. 🙌

fully agree. But as a result of the electric bike revolution here in edmonton I see older folks riding around like never before and I can't help but wonder how much of the bike lane outrage is ginned up and inauthentic. Door knocking this campaign cycle is reinforcing this perception.

This so much! We ride almost everywhere for everything and are in our 50’s and 60’s. I’m really hoping the seniors who have taken up riding vote for politicians who will approve more protected infrastructure! #ridebikeslovelife

If you're 40+ and you don't ride your bike around town what even is your plan for healthy aging?

I just don't understand older people who hate bike lanes.

WOW!

Alberta just got another approved referendum petition!

And this one calls for the practice of funding private schools with public money to be put to an end!

During the teachers strike!

Strap in Alberta, we’re going on a ride!

Today I doorknocked for Ashley Salvador’s campaign.

I came across an election official who thanked me for being so involved in municipal politics. I sincerely thanked him for his work.

You know how we go around the table at Thanksgiving and says what they’re thankful for?

I always say democracy.

PACE is a social conservative Trojan Horse.

PACE is backed by the people who make up the most extreme wing of conservatives in Alberta. They're using messaging about infill an taxation as bait to trick voters into electing their alt-right slate.

Don't be tricked.

If you hate Edmonton and all people outside of cars, and if you think building anything but single family mansions should be illegal, vote Justin Thomas in Ward Metis! 😍

Danielzebub Smith will spend taxpayer dollars to advertise against teachers & pay for childcare while they're on strike

But she refuses to actually listen to teachers & help fix the problems in our public schools
With the UCP it's always about the ideology
It's never about helping Albertans

Walters choosing to associate with an incumbent who not only got trounced, and who was also pretty notably brainwormed really says a lot about Walters.

The 14M dollars Smith has committed to a pipeline going nowhere would cover the entire cost of COVID vaccines.
Smith likes to day "saving taxpayer dollars" to justify her decision yet she never hesitate to spend huge amounts on pet projects: multiple panels, Dynalife fiasco, bloated govt, etc.

Macron remarks are notable- some quotes: "We have been incredibly naive in entrusting our democratic space to social networks that are controlled either by large American entrepreneurs or large Chinese companies, whose interests are not at all the survival or proper functioning of our democracies."

It's a two-way race for mayor.

Polls from today either put Knack and Cartmell in a dead heat, or Cartmell slightly ahead.

The UCP has changed donor rules, created unpopular parties, all to stack the deck for Tim, their preferred candidate.

And it might work, unless we show up
