“The city has done a great job maximizing the space by building the bike lanes. In Westmount where I live, we also have numerous bike lanes and once they were built, most of the residents got used to them and the bike traffic increased considerably.” 👏👏 YES!

Is infill a top election issue in 2025? According to polls, no.

Only 14% of people rank infill as a top 3 issue, ranking below garbage collection.

While infill may not be a top issue, it helps solve the actual top issues.

So many people came to Coffee Outside today 💚 Dr. Darren Markland touched so many lives including those at Paths for People, where he also served as a past board member. He was an influential and inspiring public health and active transportation advocate who believed in community and connection.

The motion brought forward today was very disappointing but we’re grateful for the councillors who stood up for safe streets and transportation options today - let’s continue to build a city that supports everyone!

The bike lane construction ban was just voted down. Cartmell makes it very clear today that he is against all safe infrastructure.

He used his closing arguments to rail against bike lanes to schools and say lack of policing is why people don’t bike. #yegbike

Today I attended A City for Life: Rethinking Mobility with Inclusive Policies by @pathsforpeople.bsky.social @etriders.bsky.social

Not everyone drives and our city needs to reflect that.
As a non-driver myself, I'm committed to ensure this experience is always in city decisions!

💭 Did you know that 37% of Edmonton’s population doesn’t have a drivers license? This number includes children, but everyone, regardless of their age, has important mobility needs! Let’s build a city that supports everyone 💪 #yegcc

🚲 #yeg is making progress on safe streets—but every step forward sparks bikelash. Loud voices want to rip out bike lanes + safe crossings.

This fall’s election decides whether we move forward or slide back.
