College radio stations are seeing a surge in student interest.

Stations that once struggled to fill airtime are now overflowing with student DJs.

I spoke to 7 college radio stations across the U.S. to understand what is driving the revival:

At the Game Over Gala we welcomed a new friend and AADL staffer: our new costumed mascot Akako G. Shins!

Akakojiishiins means "Little Groundhog" in Ojibwe, and while they're not exactly little, they'll be making a big impression at AADL festivals and expos!

We are thrilled to announce that @aadl.org plans to acquire the Ann Arbor Observer!

Public ownership of local news media is more important than ever, and this acquisition builds on years of partnership and archival work to ensure the future of this priceless community asset.

Absolute all-timer sentence in today's @nytimes.com
"some legal experts have called it a crime to summarily execute civilians" says today's New York Times, continuing their long tradition of whitewashing fascism

One of the real joys of writing online is when you see someone also find the value in something that you have shared, and runs with farther it in a way new to you.

Hugh Rundle’s insights on Google Search’s adoption of Ai snippets is a good read!

Did you mean..?
Search engines based on embedding vector queries are fundamentally at odds with the goal of enabling multiple ontological mappings across information and cultural works.

You guys, so many Romance girlies are reading "On Tyranny" that they've broken the Goodreads recommendations algorithm. 10/10; no notes.

My Wordle starter word is ‘steak’ because I love recalling the moment when I impressed the hell out of my co-workers by “hacking” the whatisthematrix website (by guessing it as the correct password) so many years ago…

Love this. Churches ringing their bells for protests & popular uprisings has a long history. Out my window is Florence’s Badia bell tower, built 978 CE but rebuilt in 1330 because the tower was demolished in 1255 as punishment for ringing its bells to support a workers’ revolt 💪🔔
A tall skinny pointy gothic bell tower with rosette windows and a golden weathervane on top, proudly standing against a bright blue sky.
