The function of AI must not be to make the wealthiest people on Earth — Musk, Bezos, Ellison, Zuckerberg, Gates — even richer.

This revolutionary technology must benefit ALL of humanity, not just the privileged few who own it.

Jury Dumps Criminal Charges Against Tow Truck Driver Who Towed An ICE Vehicle During An Arrest
This administration runs on vengeance. If it's not Donald Trump aiming the DOJ at his personal enemies, it's the DOJ itself taking a shotgun approach to justice (read: filling it full of holes) by filing as many criminal charges against anti-ICE protesters as possible. The charges have been transparently bogus -- an obvious attempt by the administration to intimidate protesters into silence.

Still mind-blowing that a top admin official was revealed to have taken $50,000 in cash in a paper bag from people looking for government favors, the reaction of the administration was "Whatever losers, this is how it works now" and bigshot news media said "If you say so, we'll forget about it"
Border czar Tom Homan didn't receive a normal background check for his role while his bribery probe was still ongoing:

Justice officials felt sure Homan would not be able to obtain a security clearance based on the evidence gathered. It remains unclear how Homan was eventually granted clearance.
Border czar Tom Homan didn’t receive normal background check during bribery probe
President-elect Trump initially balked at submitting names of likely nominees to the FBI for background checks, a basic step intended to flag possible financial conflicts or ethical problems.

Not sure people are getting the real importance of the Russians fooling Trump about the Ukrainians attacking Putin's house. It was to demonstrate just how much they control his thinking--how much he is in their pocket. And it worked.

So the President did disclose a CIA drone strike inside Venezuela.

And this does cross a red line of violating the UN Charter -- where the boat strikes on high seas had not.

“Did the military do that?”

“It doesn’t matter.”

I suspect he just blew a deniable CIA covert op, because he’s a big dummy.
Q: Can you say any more about the explosion in Venezuela that you mentioned in a radio interview. Did the military do that?

TRUMP: Well, it doesn't matter. But there was a major explosion in the dock area where they load the boats up with drugs. We hit the area.

Excellent point.
This is all true and let us also not forget Jared’s history of not being able to get a security clearance, not to mention his extensive record of being a slumlord. Anyway, happy meritocracy, everyone.
Just would like to remind everyone a private citizen with massive foreign financial exposure was brought in to handle sensitive diplomatic negotiations and no indication anyone questioned giving him a clearance again.

Life of nepo baby Jared at its finest.

Heads up that this is authorization for Trump to create his own version of the Wagner Group. Which would bring the number of “armies” at his disposal to four:

*regular armed forces (most regulated)
*ICE (minimally regulated)
*private mercenaries (?)
*MAGA thugs/militias (rogue)

All pardonable

Since 1975, $79 trillion in wealth has been redistributed from the bottom 90% to the top 1% — a 1% that now owns more wealth than the bottom 93%.

We can respect innovation & entrepreneurship, but we cannot respect the extraordinary greed that now exists.

We need a wealth tax.
