There is a gulf in America. I submit it is the gulf between good and evil, or at least not-evil and evil.

The gulf is not just between people who oppose this and people who are indifferent to it or reluctantly accept it in support of immigration policy or see it as collateral damage.

ICE lied about the person it shot, claiming he was a "criminal," but NBC finds that he had no criminal history whatsoever. Not even traffic tickets in 12 years! It also lied about the extent of the injuries to its agents....

Young’s opinion, which rules that the Trump admin illegally targeted pro-Palestinian students for deportation, is absolutely scathing.

And there's the issue of masks. This Court has listened
carefully to the reasons given by Öztürk's captors for masking-

A lot of companies are not "pro-fascism" or "anti-fascism." They are "pro-making-more-money."🤷🏿‍♂️

Companies do face consequences for opposing fascism. If they can be pro-fascism and face no consequence? Then there is a perverse incentive to be pro-fascism.

I can raise math, English and science scores in a district more by offering free breakfast and lunch, than by banning cell phones.

But one feels like punishment and blaming bad, lazy, kids, and the other requires acknowledging adults' role in creating a dystopian environment not ideal for learning.
