As humans we find “Love your enemies” to be one of Jesus’s hardest commands. And for us, it *is* very hard.
But I wonder if this was a command Jesus gave in the same tone as a parent saying “Don’t drink drain cleaner,” and for a similar reason.

My resident decided to tell me he was going to murder me, and when I told him not to threaten me he said "I'm not threatening you, I'm just telling you in advance." So anyways I'm using that line.
