They're spending a boatload of this runtime on exposition. #TheSinofNoraMoran #TCMParty.

I'm gonna guess this lion scene had neither the animal cruelty or actor safety precautions a modern set would enjoy. #TCMParty #TheSinofNoraMoran

Nora Moran went bad because they made her dress like a Pilgrim. #TCMParty #TheSinofNoraMoran

I feel like, if a #TCM host is telling you the picture is weird, it's going to be really weird. OK, let's see. #TheSinofNoraMoran #TCMParty

If your senator doesn’t take messages, send them a note via their online contact forms.
Call the United States Capitol switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and they will connect you with your senator's office.

If you're represented by one of the squishier centrists, be sure to make a call. Now.
Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.

Let's do the list:
- Fell asleep at desk during live Oval event
- Has twice disappeared from public view for extended periods
- Has unexplained visible bruising, still no explanation for MRI or mid-year "check up"
- Frequently confabulates, makes no sense when speaking
- Weight gain, dishevelment
So the oldest person ever to become president keeps falling asleep in his office during public events and there’s no big public discussion on how this is a coverup or how republicans are lying to us about how this government is running?

At the time this film was made, the military still had to restrict postings for interracial couples, both because of the local laws and "customs" of certain areas, so Sarah Jane isn't wrong. #ImitationofLife #TCMParty

Wait, a 2 week notice to the play you JUST opened? What kind of contract does this woman have? Is my suspension of disbelief being undermined? #ImitationofLife #TCMParty

Kudos to the costume designer who put Juanita Moore in that lovely tailored blue "uniform" for the dressing room scene. #ImitationofLife #TCMParty

Never noticed before the contrast between John Gavin's subdued "stop acting," & Sandra Dee's over-the-top delivery later on. Because Lora isn't acting on the stairs with Steve. #ImitationofLife #TCMParty

I don't know why, but I think "since the heatwave of '39" is the smarmiest line Alda delivers. #ImitationofLife #TCMParty

I just realized Lora is far more convincing as an actress in this ruse at her eventual agent's office than she is in the audition that gives her that first big break. #TCMParty #ImitationofLife

"Hi, I'm Lora Meredith, a struggling actress with a 7 room apartment in New York." The times, as the kids say, were different back then. #ImitationofLife #TCMParty

I favor the '59 #ImitationofLife to the '34 version, not just because I saw it first, but because I think Sirk's use of melodrama allows him to subconsciously direct the audience to the story of Annie & Sara Jane; the "I'm going to be a star!" storyline being so much window dressing. #TCMParty

Settling in for #ImitationofLife, my favorite Douglas Sirk film. I can't resist Sandra Dee's perfect line reading of "Mama, stop acting!" or Juanita Moore's triumph creating a very real woman out of a character who could have been a one-note saint-like stereotype. #TCMParty

It's actually not swindling to tell people what they want to hear if you actually intend on doing those things. Swindling would be something like, just for example, announcing a fake Hyperloop system solely to kill California's high speed rail initiative.

So sad to hear about Pauline Collins. "Upstairs Downstairs" was my comfort food while stuck home alone during COVID. My favorite Sarah moment is when she's both the voice of reason and morality while dissuading Thomas from fleecing the Bellamy's. "If you're gonna do 'em, do 'em for something big."

800+ flights cancelled today because Elon took a chainsaw to the federal government and Trump won’t pay the remaining airport personnel.

Elon’s on his way to becoming a trillionaire.

Trump’s net worth has more than doubled inside a year.

Glad everything worked out for them.

How about you?
