Today's figures show that inflation is under control, but the RBA board does not meet for another 6 weeks!

As @grogsgamut.bsky.social writes, there was no excuse for taking 10 weeks off when Australians need the cost of living relief of rate cuts. #OffTheCharts

Someone remind Joe Biden that he has full immunity for official acts, like pardoning anyone he feels like pardoning, telling the IRS to release all of Trump's tax returns, and telling the DOJ to release Jack Smith's report and any non-classified evidence from Donald's many cases.

Hard to sympathise- maybe if he paid taxes he wouldn’t be in this situation?
“Will pay any amount.”

Feels like one of those futile pleas we’re going to hear from wealthy people more and more in the era of climate change.

I'm sorry to be the one to tell you, but if you are feeling optimistic about this year, you're not terribly bright.

Reserve bank governor and out of touch Board will not rest until our economy is in recession. Australia is full of these 2nd rate public officials afraid to do their job and prefer to ingratiate themselves with future employers after they leave office.
So sad for anyone struggling with repayments

FB Mimmries reminds me that a decade ago today I filed this @crikey.com.au essay on what ‘middle class’ means in Australia, after sweating absolute bullets on it
So, you think you're middle class ...
With almost 93% of Australians identifying as middle class, we need to start talking about the c-word.

As reported here lazy journalism just swallows the business line with no critical thinking - no wonder media credibility continues to decline

Sorry BCA - the data shows businesses like investing in Victoria
Despite what the Business Council of Australia would wish you to believe, Victoria is one of the most popular places to invest in Australia.
