Think back to the murder of George Floyd: if bystanders physically intervened, Floyd might still be alive. But if he survived after that intervention, whoever intervened would be facing felony charges and prison time. It's one face of the moral horror of police impunity.

I did a cool thing today - i jogged to a grocery store, grabbed a few things, and jogged home with groceries in my backpack. i only bought a little, but it worked great - got a decent run in - I'm way out of running shape, but 1.5 miles plus some walking felt good.

Some public officials and media outlets were better about not regurgitating the SPPD company line in the immediate aftermath of the raid. But we must remember: if you run with what cops tell you right after they do something seemingly reprehensible, you run the risk of repeating something like this:

I trained for triathlons in college, and my first race was a doozy - I barely finished. But i trained a lot, and when the next race came on the same course, a teammate told me as she passed me several miles ahead of where she passed me in the last race, "massive improvement - massive!"
What is the best compliment you ever received? Putting aside whether or not you believed it.

Haul from Northeast Art Attack (fall Art-a-Whirl). Much smaller attendance but same level of great art this past weekend.
