We threw away such a lot for that not-so “special relationship”.
A more confident nation, with more honest politicians, would admit it and make amends with Europe. This is all such bullshit.

I always thought child s abuse was a red line...

I thought that was something we could all agree on, no matter our political differences.

That it would be enough for people to withdraw their support.

The fact that it’s not has been a brutal lesson to learn.

"The flag acts as a warning sign: a silent message. It makes you more vigilant…you go into a house with a flag, you have to prepare emotionally for the possibility of racism or rejection”

This is Farage’s ‘patriotism’ in action. It’s not pride. It’s intimidation.

"Protected areas"

There's a clear trend in the world's parks and reserves - they're mainly in mountains, deserts or isolated places that no-one's interested in exploiting economically

But as soon as anyone wants a bit of it, any legal protection counts for nothing
🛑 BREAKING: The UK is the world’s WORST offender when it comes to letting Big Oil drill in protected areas 🌊

⚠️ UK Govt has already issued oil licences that overlap with 13,500km² of protected areas – nearly ten times the size of Greater London 🔽

You can’t get the Brexit people voted for because it doesn’t exist. It was a con. A prejudiced, arrogant fantasy created by a cynical campaign of dishonesty.

This is however the relentless, tedious Brexit reality. An ongoing national scandal. A betrayal of a country by its politicians and media.
I don’t think we’ve got the Brexit people voted for. Our traders face a daily nightmare getting goods across the border.

Here’s one example of just why. Toby Ovens of Broughton Transport told us about the 26 stamps he needs on loads of forms. To move one trailer across the Channel…

So this is what Farage wants to do with his precious Brexit ‘sovereignty’: sell out our NHS to Trump’s America and grub for power in the misery of its collapse.

Such a cynical, malignant politician. Happy to lie to our faces, weaken our rights and break what we value, if it enriches him.

Birdsong, clean rivers, wildlife in our gardens and green spaces all hang in the balance.

We need action now: properly funded protected sites, more high-quality nature-friendly farming and delivery at a scale that will reverse the decline.

Time to deliver.

It’s not adding up.

Nature in England is in freefall, yet today’s Office for Environmental Protection report warns the Government is at serious risk of missing its legally binding targets to restore it.

That must be a wake-up call. ‼️

No.

Absolutely not.

This is an idiotic comparison.

Non-consensual sexualised images of women and children are created by adults, for adults.

Children being absent does sweet blue fuckall to prevent it.

This is a platform accountability problem, not a “kids shouldn’t be here” one.

I've had a little fact check and it seems to be true.

It used to take 5 to 6 months to train to be an ICE agent.

Now it takes 47 days - because Trump is the 47th president.

That's the reason.

Armed officers with extraordinary power.

FORTY SEVEN days of training to satiate the ego of a buffoon.
“It used to take 5 to 6 months to get trained. They've now lowered the training period to 47 days. Why 47 days? Because Donald tRump's the 47th president.”—Senator Mark Warner.

What strikes me is that the Tories most likely to defect are the ones who are, pretty crucially, not actually in the House of Commons anymore.

Funny that.

Former Chancellor Nadhim Zahawi has defected to Reform. He came to Britain as an 11 year old without a word of English.

A decade ago, Zahawi was advocating (as Boris Johnson was too) for an "amnesty" to give regularise those without legal status in the UK

Understandably, and routinely, the EU wants a penalty clause if we pull out of any reset deal. An insurance policy against Farage. We already pay a very high price for his Brexit shitshow. Now we’d pay even more if he ripped up any improvements. Which he insists he will.
