Important info on the ideologue who wrote the NSS. (I am not in the least surprised, have been following this guy from 2016.) Will our atlanticists bother to read this? Will they stop sanewashing his stuff?

Trumps National Security Strategy 2025 actually mentions Soft Power. Albeit with a twist - it's about being "unapologetic about our country's past and culture". Also about being "respectful" toward other cultures.
Proclaims "inherent greatness and decency" of the US. Makes ya think of Donny, right?

This is the Alex Jones school of political theater: just take some stuff you've seen bad guys in movie do, claim the democrats did it first and then relentlessly do it yourself.
Can you think of a single movie in which there is a video from the government denouncing its political opponents playing on a loop in public spaces in which that government was the good guy?
A new Noem video is being played at airports trashing Democrats.

This line by @samadams.bsky.social speaks to me, nay it screams at me:

Superb story by Reuters about Trumps pause in weapon shipments to Ukraine three months ago. Left me wondering who those "anti-interventionist" staffer are.

Exclusive: Order by Hegseth to cancel Ukraine weapons caught White House off guard
Roughly a week after Donald Trump started his second term as president, the U.S. military issued an order to three freight airlines operating out of Dover Air Force Base in Delaware and a U.S. base in the United Arab Emirates: Stop 11 flights loaded with artillery shells and other weaponry and bound for Ukraine.

A piece I wrote in January, calling the election for Trump, arguing he won't govern like a fascist but he will be worse than last time: more vengeful, supported by a base with which he has party-like relations and the state retrospectively accepting the Jan 6 coup
