It's been obvious for a while but DHS is undeniably functioning as the federal government's secret police apparatus. This is going to get a lot worse (it's likely already much worse than we know).
Video of the international student at Tufts being arrested by "federal authorities" in Massachusetts has been released and it's terrifying.
They're not even uniformed officers. Just secret police thugs in hoodies and masks.

Come and See (1985) is breathtaking and horrifying. (I will say I'm pretty pissed off they machine gunned a cow and filmed it slowly die. Which beyond being evil and unnecessary is also antithetical to the movie's message imo. Senseless)

Hey in retrospect maybe when Trump's former chief of staff said Trump was a fascist you could've covered it as heavily as you covered Biden's imaginary Parkinson's diagnosis instead of burying it on A14
Every president of both parties going back generations subscribed to the principle that a president doesn't pick the press corps that is allowed in the room to ask him questions. Trump has just declared that he will.
The message is clear. Given that the White House has already kicked one news organization out of the pool because of coverage it does not like, it is making certain everyone else knows that the rest of us can be barred too if the president does not like our questions or stories.
