The Whirlwind of Hope
Happy New Year! I do hope 2026 is going to be a better year than 2025 - for me, for this blog, and for you, my dear reader. As you may have noticed, this blog has been inactive for a majority of the last year. Neither the promised reviews nor the follow-up newsletter arrived. Oh well. I tried to write a second installment of the newsletter at least four times over the course of the year.

Short Story: Spirals

They loved being slimy. Every snail loves it, or at least that’s what they presumed. No edge is too sharp, no blade of grass cuts too deep. Their world, at least to us, would feel like shadow play – light and darkness, in a struggle for control; and yet, their lives felt like…

Reading in 2024(-ish)

In 2024, I realised I had a problem. My bookshelves were brimming with wonderful literature and graphic novels and all sorts of things, yet a large chunk of that was never read. You see, "collecting books" and "reading books" are two different hobbies. And so last year, around March or April, I was inspired by an Instagram reel to change this.
