Remember how appalled we all were in 2022 when Russia completely unprovoked attacked Ukraine? That is what we’re doing tonight with Venezuela. We are the bad guys here. Everyone who supports this is supporting unprovoked murder. Fuck every last one of them

I didn't think Marcus Freeman was going to leave for the NFL this offseason but I really like knowing officially that Marcus Freeman is not going to leave for the NFL this offseason. 2026 Vengeance Tour begins now.

The most frustrating thing about all of this that I’m very sad that this series is ending, and every USC fan I know is very sad. And instead of saying it’s because conferences are two big and going ruining out of their way to ruin the sport, notre dame is catching the blame for not being in one!
Notre Dame and USC breaking up sucks. I think the Notre Dame side deal with the Playoff had an effect here based on @danwolken.bsky.social's convincing reporting. I would now tip this to "mostly ND's fault" after the faultmeter was pointing directly at Lincoln Riley a few months ago

W*lken is saying that because he didn’t know about the top 12 ranking thing when it was announced a year and a half ago it means nobody else did until now lol
d*n w*lken and friends trying to pretend the ND top 12 ranking = CFP thing into the actual super secret reason behind southern cal running from the series is some hilarious work

USC would have had a great chance at making the four-team playoff in 2017 but unfortunately they lost to Notre Dame 49-14.
In the history of the CFP Southern Cal has been in position to actually make the damn thing…..once? In 2022?
Where they promptly fell flat on their face in the pac-12 title game lol
They’re realizing they’ve only won 2 of the last 10 games in this series and using the Big Ten and CFP as an excuse. USC has always been in a conference. ND has always been independent. It’s a disservice to the fans, but we all thought this could happen so I guess at least it’s not a surprise!

I haven’t seen Alabama come out flat like this since THE LAST GAME THEY PLAYED WHICH FOR SOME REASON THE COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYOFF COMMITTEE PRETENDED DID NOT HAPPEN

Well, no
Very weak stuff by Bevacqua. The ACC didn't even go hard against Notre Dame in the press, explicitly to avoid this kind of outcome. Notre Dame got screwed here and Bevacqua is looking for someone he can bully as a result, which I get, but c'mon
Notre Dame AD Pete Bevacqua to DP Show on the ACC: "We were mystified by the actions of the conference to attack their biggest partner really in football...They have certainly done permanent damage to the relationship between the conference and Notre Dame."

And now the committee gets to drop Bama back down below ND, allowing the Tide to serve as the proper meat shield for Notre Dame and keeping Miami out. That feels like why they bumped Bama ahead last week, and THAT IS ALSO A VERY STUPID PROCESS.

I just can't say it enough: "Notre Dame will stay ahead of Miami in the rankings as long as there's a team serving as a physical barrier between them, otherwise Miami will jump them" is a very, VERY dumb process.

There's reason to rank ND ahead (especially if, like me, you're not an "h2h is everything" person), and there's reason to rank Miami ahead. Pushing Miami ahead after neither of them played a game and only ND's résumé changed even slightly (for the better) makes me insane.

The committee can credibly say Notre Dame has been the better team. If Miami wants to be mad about it they shouldn’t have lost to two 8-4 teams.
