Russell Vought is the architect of Project 2025, the force cutting NIH funding. But it's thanks to NIH-funded research that Vought’s daughter had access to some treatments.

“We’re extremely grateful to live in a nation that leads the way on medical innovation,” Vought's then-wife wrote in 2021.
Project 2025 is gutting medical funding that helped Russell Vought's own kid
Its architect's daughter has cystic fibrosis—and benefits from a "miracle drug" backed by an agency he's attacking.

Yes! All of this right here. The fact that none of this is happening is both political malpractice and demonstrates a casual acceptance of the fascist shitstorm that’s underway. Somebody wake the Democrats up.
if Democrats were smart they would open up a war room for democracy and maintenance of basic stability that is public facing and all it does is message on basic tenants of a free society and democracy as well as giving true fact-based reporting on what is going on as well as coordinating response

More of this, please. This Bishop has far more backbone than any Republican member of Congress.
Rev. Mariann Edgar Budde to Trump: "I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now. There are gay, lesbian, and transgender people in Democratic, Republican, and independent families, some who fear for their lives ... and the vast majority of immigrants are not criminals"

Totally normal, well-adjusted human being stuff here. Truly.
