This nation is culturally unprepared for the planetary crisis now unfolding around it.

We're currently not actually capable of having smart, honest national discussions about the causes of, consequences from, and possible responses to that crisis.

That will not end well.
Speed is everything, and the speed of action we need is inherently disruptive to incumbent energy interests.

I understand the politics of not scaring key voter blocs, but we also have to prepare America to understand the real world we're living in, now.

If we look at the beginning of the Keeling Curve back in the late-1950's it took almost 9 years of GHG emissions for the seasonal maximum CO2 value to become the new seasonal minimum CO2 value. Now is takes about 3 years for that to happen. 🧪 #StopBurningFossilFuels
