Has anyone successfully gotten busy streets to allow no left turns without a light?

This was me on bicycle on El Camino Real northbound hit by a turning driver trying to beat traffic. Pictures of me where the driver hit me in the leg and ending up on the windshield.

The actual issue before us — which is very simple & clear — is that you are masterminding a police state for your overlord & classifying opponents as “terrorists” & in the process destroying the Constitution & a free society.

Jew to Jew, Stephen, you’re a complete piece of shit.

Fixed it for you @oaklandside.org. With no hate to the reporter as I’m sure they had an editor to answer to, this article focuses so much on all the things the guy did to deserve being killed you almost feel bad for the driver who killed him.

Rest in peace Hector Jose Ortega.

E-bikes are an absolute game-changer in terms of giving more people the option of going car-light or car-free, but adoption is threatened by the ongoing moral panic. As the article notes, the solution is not restrictions on e-bikes, but creating more infrastructure to support e-bike riders. 1/2

“The e-bike market is skyrocketing — and, according to some studies, outpacing electric cars…The question now is: Do officials double down on deadly car-centric urban design, or do they rethink cities to encourage people to ditch four wheels for two?”

E-bikes could cut carbon, congestion, and costs — if cities take them seriously
E-bike sales are booming, providing a clean form of transportation that also improves public health. Yet cities remain committed to cars.

Kids these days aren’t willing to do without for months at a time like we did growing up to save up for a down payment on a house.

Disappointing victim-blaming from @npr.org.

This article puts the burden of safety on pedestrians and people on bikes, not on the dangerous drivers and hostile infrastructure that are the real threats.

We don't need more "safety tips," rooted in ignorance and incompetence, we need safer streets.

SB79 maps, take 2: what got upzoned near the California Ave Caltrain in Palo Alto, where a 1275 square foot bungalow will cost you over $2.5 million. This is why SB79 is a huge deal - it opened up a whole bunch of areas that were previously off-limits. (attn: @nextdoorsv.bsky.social )
