Jetzt.

Das heißt: Keine neuen Abhängigkeiten eingehen, siehe Palantir. Vorhandene Alternativen zu Microsoft & Co endlich nutzen. Und europäische Plattformen & Open Source massiv fördern.

Yesterday in Parliament I said that the government should leave X.
🔉What dangers does X pose to our democracy? And should the government stop using it?

Good to hear yesterday from @sundersays.bsky.social and @petergeoghegan.bsky.social on the immense risk of X as it ignores legal obligations and its owner tries to influence UK politics.

Great write-up of an important study by @tevoelker.bsky.social and @dasalgon.bsky.social. Far-right actors have been very successful in setting the political agenda. Many in politics and media still ignore this. They argue "immigration is important to people, hence we need to talk about immigration"

The success of the far right is not only measured in votes and seats but in its impact on rhetoric, policy and ideology. The fact that a (nominally) social democratic head of government with a huge majority choses to say and do this is maybe the biggest success of the far right in Europe yet.

In the ruins of our so-called progress, we find the absurdity of a system that prioritizes profit over people. It’s like watching a bad movie on repeat, where the villain always wins. But here’s the twist: we hold the pen. Our stories can rewrite the script.
