This has been a tough year for "WWE is good at business" folks. Lost NBC as a partner. No deal for NXT ppvs. No U.S. deal for AAA. No one wanted their TNA offer. No one wants their library. And challenging AEW head-to-head exposed their product as dreadfully inferior.

The biggest myth in the history of pro wrestling is that Hulk Hogan & Vince McMahon made it more popular. They made *WWF* more popular, but pro wrestling nationwide through all the territories (Dallas, Mid-South, Crockett, AWA, etc) was drawing 5x the total number of fans in 1983 compared to 1988.
tired of reading how big hulk hogan made wrestling... yes it hit some huge highs bc of him, but all the wrong people hit those highs and you could argue maybe the whole industry would have been better off without it. Pro wrestling wasn't dying until he came along but it damn sure changed bc of it
