my reaction to this is not "oh Trump's losing it" it's "the entire point of fascism is that the leader declares reality and everyone else has to follow it".

none of these people in charge knows what it's like to have your heart stop at the store because your card swipe fails and you genuinely don't know if it's a technical error or if you somehow miscalculated how much money you had for groceries.
i would even settle for someone who knows what it’s like to be broke. like “celebrated the day you got $1K in your bank account” or when you could start buying cheese from the nice part of the grocery store type broke.
I think unless you’ve been so poor you’ve stolen toilet paper from public bathrooms to bring home you should not be allowed to effect economic policy
