I mean over on the clock app they were calling Diana Carney “our Princess Diana” 🫩
I thought the TruAnon crowd was annoying but hoo boy I really underestimated the Carnies
How many Conservatives have to join the Liberals before Carney stans accept that he's a conservative PM? This is a trick question, the answer doesn't exist, because these people will never accept it.
Carney could appoint Harper to the Supreme Court and his stans would still be like, ah, 4D chess.

Doug Ford: Public servants need to get back to the office and that means 5 days a week! No exceptions!

Also Doug Ford:
It's a good thing provinces don't have any responsibilities in Canada's system of government.

Hot take: please ignore this “advice” making the rounds. Even if true, it doesn’t matter: using alt-text consistently makes it easier for *everyone* to use the internet. We’re not going to throw blind people aside for convenience or conspiracy 😡

I avoid it all costs. Part of the human experience is to contemplate, imagine, create - and I resent these tech bro fucks for trying to take that away from us tbh
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
Execs are embracing AI more than their employees are, new research suggests
Research from HR software company Dayforce suggests that executives are leaning into AI far more than their employees.

yup! the way people accept - and are seemingly content with - mediocrity at every level is outrageous
The Finch West LRT being slower than the bus it's replacing might be my personal Joker moment. The army of people who fought to preserve LRTs in the face of a mountain of dishonesty from multiple parties deserved an honest effort to make them actually operate well. Instead, we get Toronto.

Think we should all just relax about this.

It's not like the Ford government has any sort of record of plundering public assets for the benefit of its donors and family wedding attendees.
"The new corporation could set water rates for municipal residents, as a privately owned, for-profit organization. Municipalities would have to transfer all their water and wastewater assets, staff, debt, contracts and infrastructure to the new body." 🤮

The way to read the Canada-Alberta MOU is that Carney is using the Trump effect as political cover to pursue the deregulatory agenda he’s long wanted. I spoke with @naomiaklein.bsky.social who called it a classic example of the shock doctrine.
Did the climate world misread Carney?
Many in the climate movement saw a fellow traveller in Mark Carney — the man who could preach climate action in the language of finance — but what if they were wrong from the very start?

Recently, as I was doing some deep breathing exercises in the vestry to cope with some nonsense at church, someone came up to me and said "these days I have to ask God for patience, because if I ask him for strength I'll deck a bitch." and honestly? Biblical levels of wisdom there.
