i play a lot of video games and i help people make / write / produce / market them and occasionally i make my own
i spent a month trapped in the shadow labyrinth and had a great time!
Really nice to see more people checking out Shadow Labyrinth, probably this year's most underrated metroidvania in a year absolutely JAM PACKED with them.

Literally. The review ratings - professional and otherwise - are terrible, but it's cool!

Also down to $17 and just got a major tune-up update.

my blaseball team (go mints) implemented honest-to-god democracy to determine how we would cast our votes each week in an event we called "the parliamint". it was the best example of community organization and self-moderation i've ever been part of.
I often think about the times when we organised hundreds of people at once on Teamspeak to attack star systems in Eve Online. Absolutely baffling activity, but i got great at it. Computer game fleet commander is one of my real life qualifications.
My obsession for a decade: Parts of games are real, not fiction.

Like, you are not really becoming a powerful knight when you gain a virtual level. That's fiction, fantasy.

But you DO gain real skills. In manipulating buttons, game tactics etc.

In multiplayer games, the friendships are real.

Many Nights a Whisper is one of the best, most emotion-provoking games i have ever played. it is so efficient, so raw, so powerful. @deconstructeam.bsky.social and @selkieharbour.bsky.social you really made something here. i will never forget it.
