I have reached out to my congressperson to request the funding stipulations for ICE mentioned in the article. It is imperative that we put an end to the unlawful terrorizing of our citizens.

Goldman: Until DHS reins in this rogue and authoritarian ICE secret police force, there should be no more funding provided to DHS.

My sweet beagle Betty died today. She’s been in my family for about 12 yrs and she was about 3 yrs old when we got her. She was well loved, even by those who usually don’t like dogs. I’m happy she’s no longer in pain but I miss her terribly. I hope she’s getting lots of treats in the dog afterlife.

Frost: For so long, the right wing has held up patriotism as a vibe, as an aesthetic. But patriotism is more than bald eagles and flags and beer. Patriotism is about loving the people who live in the damn country — every single one of them.

Cody's reaction to his new brother is proof that humans can learn so much from our canine friends.
This is Cody. He's always wanted a dog of his own, and his wish finally came true. Can already tell his new little brother Cooper is going to be his best friend forever. 13/10 for both (TT: codythegoldenboy)

This video about Sinclair is alarming, even more so in the wake of their refusal to air Jimmy Kimmel on 38 of its ABC owned affiliates, when Jimmy returns on Tuesday, September 23rd.

Jimmy Kimmel is returning on Tuesday, but I am disappointed that viewers in 38 ABC-affiliated stations owned by Sinclair will not be able to watch, including a station that serves the DC Metro area.

Sinclair Won’t Air Jimmy Kimmel’s Return on Its 38 ABC Stations
The preemption means that 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' will remain unavailable for some of the U.S. despite its return after a nearly week-long suspension.

Our current administration is interfering with our right to free speech and punishing a comedian who made non-violent remarks in his monologue. At the same time, a commentator who suggested that mentally ill people should be killed is not subject to a callout right. Very disdainful.

Our right to free speech and expression is coming under siege by those seeking to suppress it for power and selfish gain. Heartbreaking as so many fought and paid with their lives to preserve our rights, only to see some who benefited from that sacrifice strip it away.

There is no excuse for political violence in America. And no excuse for a U.S. president using a heinous killing as an occasion to treat his political opponents as accomplices to murder and threatening to use the full power of the government to attack them.
