As a German & American, I wish our citizens were half as mobilized about our own corruption scandals as Ukrainians are about theirs. Look at Schröder, Schwesig, MAGA grift… We must demand consequences too. Stop fighting corruption & democracy doesn’t just decline. It gets taken.

I don't know how Ukrainians put up with the volume of unsolicited opinions they get from people who have never been in a war. In Mira's case I'm confident that it's multiplied by the fact that she is a young woman.

this is why I have a hard time with the argument that like, falling for disinformation is for Those Idiots Over There and WE are too smart for it. I have absolutely fallen for disinformation and reposted things that were later debunked! it is REALLY REALLY HARD TO AVOID!
It's honestly more or less a full time job to figure out whom you can trust on what subjects, and the sad truth is it's almost entirely individual reporters rather than outlets- like I've seen even ProPublica screw up majorly on China reporting, e.g. It's so much worse than people understand.
