My little book is dedicated to my friends, and its eclectic tour takes off with two of them at the Heaney HomePlace, where the great Iarla Ó Lionáird will sing and talk with the great Neil Hegarty and myself about Heaney, Derry, and the music of what happens. Tickets are on sale Wednesday morning.
This is coming with springtime: a celebration of @dedalusdenaries.bsky.social Late Heaney at the Heaney HomePlace.

There is seriously something wrong with this man.

Also, he is devoid of any joy. He is bitter and rotten to the core. This post proves it.

Basically a shit for brains.

yes - it is odd at lack of media interest
i keep getting updates from the library and they don't seem to have fully recovered from cyber attack
I’ve written a piece on the curious lack of media and political interest in the issues faced by our national @britishlibrary.bsky.social. This is strange given we live in a world where ideas, knowledge and research are a long-term source of innovation and insight

The British library is in crisis: why does nobody care?
The widespread indifference to the British Library's crippling cyberattack demonstrates a perilous failure to value the knowledge infrastructure vital for national prosperity
