#Thunderbolts is as good as people say it is. Maybe better. The themes are sort of unexpected and the level it goes to, to explore those themes is admirable. It’s not just like “depression sad, here’s explosion”.

Some folks were asking why MAGA was flipping out about “woke pope” so hard, and I think it’s the fact the Evangelical Christian Nationalists need their reactionary Catholic allies for the ruling coalition to work. Lose the Catholics and the power base isn’t big/strong enough.

#Sinners was incredible. Could have been a 10 ep miniseries but I’m so glad it wasn’t. Doesn’t waste a second and gives you SO much in 2 hours and 17 min. I hope @ryancoogler.bsky.social has a 4 hour cut somewhere cause I’d watch it in a heartbeat. Utter perfection.

The reason it's important to keep banging the drum that ousting Trump and his enablers is necessary, but not sufficient, is that, in a functional country, Trump would never have been permitted to run in 2024. Trump is the most serious symptom of a much larger problem.
