very favorable opinion of Fredegund
Cleopatra is the single most popular ancient figure* among Americans. Big potential support base for the "attractive maniac" candidate

The answer, as it often is, is Paul Scofield
This is a Bill Simmons game, but you’re stranded on a desert island. You can only have one actor’s filmography. You get it all, including cameos. But just the one performer.

I’m taking Cate Blanchett: Talented Mr. Ripley, LOTR, Life Aquatic, Black Bag, Tár, Ponyo, Hot Fuzz, Eyes Wide Shut, Thor

the crux of so much housing debate is precisely this idea that homeowners are speculators & it really bothers some people that it’s true
Amazing how these people never consider that homeowners have material real estate interests.

Not sure what point WS thinks he’s making but I think it would be good if there were more affordable housing in LA so more people could afford to live here :)

Calling, there is no stone
In earth’s thickness to make a home
That you can build with & remain alone.

Whose corpse was too big to truck it,
She rotted in place (you could smell it from space)
But then Bill Gates asked ‘Could I

TRIGGER WARNING: Here's how Elevatus architects and Okland contractors — everyday Americans — talk about building a firing squad execution chamber.

"They would like a floor drain... It's OK if they have to mop/squeegee [bodily] liquids into the drain."

I would run out fingers counting major housing histories that are like “well that’s Boston, Baltimore, & St Louis, case closed!” because they couldn’t make sense of the sun belt
Of course it happened on the west coast so it didn’t really happen
