Named after the initials of its founder, Howard E. Butt.
A very Texan hypermarket chain, exists only in Texas and like 8 Mexican states.
HEB actually extends a bit south of the dividing line interestingly enough.
As you go further north in Mexico there's definitely a shift from corn country to cow country, roughly the border between Guanajuato and San Luis Potosi. It's a more arid landscape so ranching makes more sense.
What are they planning? Hostomel reenactment in downtown Caracas?

It's the US's frozen conflict, never fully resolved.
Bringing in the California Armed Forces to finish building the HSR, maybe that's the only way it gets done

The first rapid transit was commuter rail
I think it's a minimum of 2 conductors per train, sometimes 3. They did entirely get rid of split shifts though so that's something. They do need conductors to work the traps for low platforms. The most annoying thing is when they only open 1 car even with 2 conductors on the train.
I mean there was the minor bit where they were arming and fueling the Nazi war machine and jointly invading and dividing up Eastern Europe.

I'd love to go home, haven't been there for 11 fucking years because FUCKING RUSSIA OCCUPIES IT.
And yet I'm a lucky one because it's still standing there.
⚡️ Trump:
Probably? I haven't had much time to work on HDL stuff with real hardware of late but this seems doable and fun.

The cost for LinkUS has more than tripled in 3 years. Now, this critical project isn't fully funded and won't be done by 2028. This is what happens when you fund at 0% design- it gives 3rd parties, like BNSF and Vernon, opportunity to demand costly design changes. calelectricrail.org/against-patc...
IDK, maybe the PD was asking the wrong question in the first place, they asked if it was legal for him to work in the US which is true, but not whether it's legal for him to carry a gun, which is not. This stuff is complicated!

Thanks to Metro's 5-year suspension of fare enforcement, there is no barrier to prevent the continuous accumulation of erratic individuals on vehicles.

In LA's two-tier transportation system, the rich muse about free transit from the safety of their cars. The poor fight off the crazy meth guy.

Border Patrol has had serious culture problems for DECADES, and until recent years had largely avoided the "professional policing" reforms of the modern era. And now they're operating across the country.
Rights advocates in southern US border communities are very much in "this is what we've been trying to tell you" mode lately.
This is why I continuously correct people on Border Patrol vs. ICE. Two different agencies, both under the DHS umbrella, with the former being *significantly* more aggro than the latter.
This includes the leftier ones who will say things like "he'll be fine, he's white" about a guy that got arrested by ICE. Which, like, on some level yeah he's not getting targeted by random stops but he's still getting detained and deported.

US immigration is one of those things where most Americans have preconceived notions of what they think is true. When they are confronted with reality, if they let their brains expand a little to accept the new info, they are usually shocked to learn that everything they thought they knew was wrong.

Orban has the opportunity to do something extremely funny and probably get the EU off his back forever.
His existence was covered up by the USSR after The Incident.
"Here legally" is not sufficient to be allowed to work as a cop though. You can be "here legally" but you're still not allowed to have a gun unless you have a green card pretty much. If I had to guess, this guy may have been in the process of adjusting status and thus had a work permit.
He's probably getting detained until he can be deported to Montenegro, which I guess is some definition of "fine"?
