The point is give a loyalist who is unfit for the job the post so that they are so appreciative that dear leader gave them the position, they only serve him, not the justice system. That is the point. No justice will be done, only loyalty.

It’s of note that during tonight’s hearing the DoJ didn’t even try to make the case that changing conditions on the ground in Portland warranted the CA National Guard. Instead they relied on legal technicalities. Proving again that what they say in court is different than lies they tell the public.

The only thing that could possibly make sense is that there really isn’t a backup for Austin Barber. It was his helmet that came off so if they wanted to run a running play to the left side on that third down, they need Austin Barber in there. So they use the timeout to make sure he was in there.

I visited the apartment building ICE raided on Tuesday today. Story to come, but you can walk right in. Half of the apartments have no doors on them. Children's stuff abandoned in some flats. *Citizen* residents told me they were arrested and held for hours in zipties. This is America
