If you want to do something like this, why not buy a $150k home in a small town in Italy, France, Spain, or Mexico, instead of having nine people share one bathroom after they eat at a restaurant called "Stinky's?"

The snow removal crew for the funeral home next door has been doing their plowing at 3:00 AM. It snowed a few cm this morning and still hasn’t been plowed. I’m gonna be so pissed if I get woken up by them at 3:00 again.

Every winter the snow removal company for the funeral home next door completely blocks the sidewalk with snowbanks and it fills me with rage.

Should you wear a mask if you've got symptomatic flu? YES. If you wear it at home *from the onset of your symptoms*, your family members are much less likely to catch flu from you (but you must avoid unmasked co-sleeping and eating around same table - have your meals alone). 1/

Okay, so the medium fits me great (too small for @smoggyrandall.bsky.social who is the one who really needs a new brand of masks). And oh boy, do they stink! I wonder how much harm I’ll be doing by inhaling the off-gassing vs inhaling airborne viruses 😬

The nugget is getting her haircut and is making her stylist time how long it takes to dry her hair. She also just asked her stylist if everyone keeps their name when they grow up. Gonna have to leave a good tip.

Is anyone in Ottawa or nearby looking to buy a Sony camera, lenses, lighting set, and stands? Or bits thereof?

I'm selling the video pod equipment I bought last year, hardly ever used, because I gave up on trying to do TikTok and YouTube because I hate them.

It's also time to stop using the naturopathic term "natural immunity" and replace it with "disease-acquired immunity" to emphasise all of its disadvantages.
A study on 1.7 million people in Hong Kong shows superior hybrid immunity to Covid in people who got vaccinated before infection vs. people who got infected first. "Our findings are a direct rebuttal to arguments for natural immunity," the authors write. doi.org/10.1016/j.va...

In a democracy, it's actually good to hold the government to account. The government is the one in power. They're the ones who may affect who wins, who loses, who suffers, who thrives. They can lock you up. They can side with fascists or not. So, yes, pretty important to criticize them.

Call me a grinch but I think it’s irresponsible that my kid’s elementary school is going Christmas carolling at retirement homes on the last day of school before Christmas break.
