There are plenty of deep and amazing analyses to be made

But god I love that this starts and ends as a love letter to himself and his people . That it’s not about “protest” in the way too many mean it now

A deep desire to be seen “winning” over a beautiful reality of living

For the youths: In Living Color was a sketch comedy show in the vein of SNL but blacker that helped launch the careers of Jim Carey, Jamie Foxx and Jennifer Lopez.

Turning Point USA is plotting its own half-time broadcast in defiance of Bad Bunny – but one of TV’s Blackest shows already perfected the alt-cast in 1992

We owe the existence of the modern half time show to Black people.

Just like this country, the modern superbowl halftime show has never been all white.

What made it such a great show is that it was entertaining and layered and explicitly political with excellent music, delightful surprise guests, stunning sets, a clear narrative, a shout out to ALL of the Americas and a cameo from Belcalis.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but there was a time when it was illegal for Puerto Ricans to speak Spanish or wave the bandera. People were jailed and killed for it. So seeing the Puerto Rican flag at the Super Bowl isn’t just pride, it’s history, survival, & resistance. #Pinks #Momsky

Bro literally came out and said “it’s our labor and culture that has always made the Americas great: y’all are just the beneficiaries of slave owners from sea to shining sea,” and I am here for it.
It was transforming the biggest NFL stage in the world into a sugar cane plantation that did it for me.

Like, the multiple layers of turning an American icon into a plantation and highlighting the history of exploitation of Black and Brown bodies by the NFL and American colonialism simultaneously?

For those who don’t know why Lady Gaga performing with Bad Bunny is significant. He’s actually a massive fan of her. He’s said her album literally helped him get through a difficult time in his life.

Bad Bunny just put on a show. I don't speak Spanish all that well but what I did get and what I saw is he made a fucking statement. Puerto Ricans should be proud right now. Damn...
