CDC was gutted today, entire departments wiped out, including much of the global HIV program. Career scientists and doctors lost their jobs overnight. This isn't just bureaucracy; people will die from preventable diseases, and public health will suffer for years. A massive step back for science.

If you think the reason Musk was willing to cause violence over USADF is because it involves Africa and he's a racist, that's a good guess. Musk views all aid to Africa as a waste and aid to South Africa as explicitly anti-white. But the idea that Trump and Musk can circumvent Congress is dangerous.
